Nothing New from GM Remleh Scherzinger of Nevada Irrigation District but the Old Happy Talk with Nothing Definitive about Getting Salmon over its two dams, Hemphill and Gold Hill!
Good Evening Everyone,
Clearly the cabling this year has not gone as planned and the debris pile is a definite indicator of that. This did not occur last year and so caught us unprepared; it is huge unexpected problem. There has never been a schedule for the bumper removal as mentioned in the segment, it was more flow and safety defendant.
We will remove the bumpers first thing, and we will circulate to this email list, as soon as that is done. I apologize for the mess they have created and we will go back to the drawing board on this. The bumpers will not be put back in until we have a solution that CDFW and the fisheries service are comfortable with again. Our goal and commitment continues to be to enhance passage and create as transparent a facility as possible, both in the short term and in the future.
Thank you to all for your support and collaboration as we work to find a solution to this issue. Again, I apologize for the impact and we will work to resolve this ASAP.
Regards,
Rem

Still SARSAS has only words and no commitment from NID on definite dates for fish passage. This is the same happy talk Rem has been giving us since we started dealing with him.
