Help a Great Lady, Who Needs Our Help PLEASE ASSIST A GOLDEN LADY IN OUR COMMUNITY Rachel O’Brien is an incredibly devoted and competent Pet and Home Sitter who has worked for us for years. She is one of the most delightful humans on the planet despite her suffering the ravages of advanced diabetes and sleep apnea. These conditions limit her mobility, make sleeping difficult, and interfere with her job performance and her ability to earn a living. She is no longer able to stay overnight on her jobs and has difficulty getting around without a trained Service Dog to detect dangerously low blood sugar and falling asleep from the apnea. In order to obtain the Service Dog, she must secure her yard for the dog according to agency requirements. She needs about $10,000 to continue living independently, earning her own living and staying alive. Rachel is on the list for a Service Dog, but the waiting time is 8 or 9 months so we want to try other avenues to secure a dog more rapidly, but that will be slow, costly and expensive.
