PLEASE, PLEASE HELP THE STRUGGLING SALMON IN THE AUBURN RAVINE. THEY DESPERATELY NEED YOUR HELP

\ PLEASE, PLEASE HELP THE STRUGGLING SALMON IN THE AUBURN RAVINE. THEY DESPERATELY NEED YOUR HELP. YOU INDEED CAN HELP THEM. ALL YOU NEED IS A PEN! WHAT CAN YOU AS A CITIZEN DO TO HELP SALMON REACH PRIME SPAWNING GRAVELS IN AUBURN RAVINE AND ACCOMPLISH THE SARSAS MISSION OF GETTING SALMON TO AUBURN WHERE THEY CAN SPAWN IN TWO PARKS, ASHFORD PARK AND AUBURN SCHOOL PARK PRESERVE. WHAT YOU DO IS INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT. LETTERS ARE THE MOST POWERFUL VEHICLE AT THE DISPOSAL OF A CITIZEN IN OUR DEMOCRACY. PLEASE HELP OUR BELOVED, STRUGGLING SALMON! Now that we know the Hemphill Dam violates two Sections of the California Department of Fish and Wildlife and is an illegal dam, please write more Letters to the Editor expressing your outrage with what Nevada Irrigation District is doing to block salmon from reaching spawning gravels. First, write letters to local Gold Country Media papers i. e. Auburn Journal, Colfax Record, Lincoln News Messenger, Loomis News, Roseville Press Tribune, etc. al. and to the Sacramento Bee urging Nevada Irrigation District (NID) to provide PERMANENT fish passage over Hemphill Dam two miles upstream from Lincoln on Auburn Ravine. NID has become a pariah water contractor concerned with the bottom line at the expense of the environment, especially the fishes it is blocking from spawning with its dams and harming them by inaction. NID has spent over $488k on just filing fees alone to build the monstrous Parker Dam on the Bear River at a projected cost of $160 million while completely neglecting its Auburn Ravine dams. NID has been singing a happy song for a long time without action. Your voice will help salmon so please write a letter, the most effective action any citizen can take. NID will only react from public pressure. Second, write a letter to Jim Bachman, Chairman of the Board of the Nevada Irrigation District (NID), demanding he put fish passage over Hemphill and Gold Hill Dams on Auburn Ravine. His address is Nevada Irrigation District, 1036 West Main Street, Grass Valley, and CA95945. He is responsible for the management of NID. And, finally, write to Senators Dianne Feinstein, who has help SARSAS protect salmon, and Barbara Boxer, asking that the Department of Commerce instruct NOAA to become active on Auburn Ravine in its mission of protecting Inland Anadromous fishes, salmon and steelhead. Your letters will also help save the salmon on the Pacific Coast, but you must write. Your inaction sends salmon toward extinction. When you have written a letter, please show your pride in helping the salmon by posting your name here in the Comments section … help and be proud.
